Note This is for students who live OUTSIDE of Jones County and are requesting a transfer into Jones County Schools.

Note This is for students who live OUTSIDE of Jones County and are requesting a transfer into Jones County Schools.
Student District Release 2023-2024 (March 10, 2023 - June 1, 2023)
Note This is for students requesting a release from Jones County Schools to attend school in another county.
- Parents are to complete one application per child.
- Parents are responsible for Transportation.
- District Release/Reassignment requests are only valid for one school year.
- An application must be submitted between dates March 6-June 1 for the upcoming school year in which admission is desired.
- You will receive emails from (scribonline@scribsoft.com) to notify you of the status of your order. It is important you read those emails carefully as additional information may be required to process your request.
- District Release requests should receive an email from scribonline@scribsoft.com with a letter notifying the parent/guardian the decision made by the Superintendent.
- The number of spaces available in each grade level will be determined by the principal. Reassignment requests may be approved if there is a seat available at the requested school.
- The Principal has the authority to recommend to the superintendent to revoke or non-renew a transfer or reassignment if the student fails to be in good standing in terms of academics, discipline, and attendance.
- Any District Release/Reassignment request that is approved based upon false or misleading information will be declared void and will be rescinded.
- A request for district release/reassignment request denied by the superintendent or designee may be appealed to the board in accordance with Jones County Public Schools Policy 4150 subsection C.2.
- Transfers made during the school year should be in accordance to Jones County Schools Policy 4150 subsection D.
